“As a pediatric dentist who is also a mother,, I know how very important it is that a child feels good about visiting the dentist. I myself had very poor dental experience as a child and teenager. It became most important to me that children receive quality care by a friendly dentist who cares about their fears and their emotions. My goal is that my patients never develop a fear of the dentist. I want to help create a generation of non-phobic dental patients.

Our brand new offices are equipped with the latest state of the art technology, including laser dentistry (no needle fillings), digital x-rays and computer imaging.  Our staff has extra training and experience in dealing with children, everyone is aware that the visit is supposed to be as fun and comfortable as possible.

Homa Sara Samimi. D.D.S.

Dr. Samimi grew up in Southern California. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biological Science. She then attended dental school at the University of Southern California. Upon graduating in 2004 she moved to New York where she completed a two-year pediatric residency program at Lutheran Medical Center. She belongs to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Suffolk County Dental Association. Dr. Samimi is fluent in Farsi and Spanish.In her last year of residency, Dr. Samimi met her husband at the hospital while he was finishing medical school. They married in August 2007 and they enjoy the outdoors, traveling, biking, going to the beach, the gym and the cinema. Dr. Samimi also enjoys participating in athletic charity events. She recently raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where she successfully completed two 100-mile bicycle marathons.

Janine Ellis, D.D.S. ~ Orthodontist

After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Statistical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Janine Ellis went on to the New York University College of Dentistry on a full scholarship and earned her D.D.S. in 2001. She completed a one-year general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and received her Certificate in Orthodontics from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2006. Dr. Ellis is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and also has completed the Canadian Orthodontic Boards. She is CPR, NERB and Invisalign certified.
